About Padang Padang
Known as the 'Balinese Pipeline', Padang Padang is one of the best and heaviest lefts in Indonesia. It only switches on when the swell is solid — below head-high it is soft and shifty, but on size it produces flawless, cavernous barrels over a shallow reef. It is strictly an experts' wave and draws big crowds and the world's best when it is firing. Best on a powerful south-west groundswell at mid tide.
